Dots and Peach

This is more along the lines of what I typically wear. A nice blouse belted over a skirt. Or in this case, a dress that is worn as a skirt. And I apologize for holding my hair in pretty much every photo. I find it kind of annoying, but I can't help it. It gets pretty windy here in the spring, so if I don't hold it back it flies in my face. When I photograph my outfits, there are always tons of unusable pictures wheree my hair is flying everywhere, and it's really frustrating because I have to take so many and try to take them when there's a break in the wind.

Plaid and Stripes?

I'm back from moving my sister to her new apartment! It all went flawlessly, in case you were wondering. Nothing even broke. But let's get to the reason why you're really here. What I wore. Well, I wore this to school two weeks ago, on a day that I was feeling particularly casual. I typically don't go for jeans and plaid shirts, but I was inspired by the relaxed style of the locals in my town. But I thought I'd jazz it up a bit by mixing prints. What do you think about plaid and stripes being worn together? Do you think they can exist together in the same outfit?

In addition, I'd like to point out that the plaid on this shirt is the official tartan of Nova Scotia, where I live. Cool, huh? No? Honestly, I don't think so either.

High Waist Denim

I have been wearing these shorts almost non-stop this spring (and winter). I just love the high waist on them! I found them as pants at a second hand store called Frenchey's, and I cut off the legs to make them into shorts. And they are by far my favourite item of clothing in my wardrobe. I could wear them everyday!

I have no school today or on Monday, so I'm off to Truro to help move my sister out of her apartment, and into her new one in Dartmouth! So I won't be able to post again until Monday. But I hope you have a lovely weekend!

Knit Rose

Today is the first day this week that it didn't rain, so I took advantage of it to shoot these photos of what I wore today. I got out of school early, so I had a nice sunny afternoon to work with. It's still a bit chilly here in Nova Scotia though, so I had to add this knit sweater over my dress.

Forest Green

These photos were taken a few weeks ago, when we had a few days of summer like weather. The temperature was over 20 degrees and it was wonderful. I spent most those 3 days outside reading Harry Potter. Then a few days later, the ground was covered in snow again. Well, that's Canadian weather for you. But it was nice while it lasted.

Finally

Finally, here it is. I've been wanting to start this blog for over a year now, and here it is. Finally. I am finally ready. I think. Even if I'm not, I'm doing it. I've been putting it off for a year, and I'm done procrastinating. I have to do this. I need somewhere to let my creativity thrive and grow. And a fashion blog seems like a pretty good place to start.
