I Like To Think A Flower Opens Itself To Outgrow Its Plantedness

For the next month, I'm looking after my neighbor's cats. She has 3, and they're so much fun! I'm not sure if I've told you that I'm crazy about cats yet, but I am. I am destined to be a crazy cat lady when I am older.

Anyway, my neighbor has the most beautiful garden! It's too bad that we've been in a drought, because the only thing blooming is her rose bush. But the roses are so pretty, I decided to stand beside them for these photos!


The flower necklace was a gift from my godmother for my graduation. It is so adorable! It is made of metal, but when you look closely, it looks like it is crocheted.

I spent most of the afternoon today laying outside under the hot sun reading,which is my favourite way to spend summer days. Doing that just makes me feel so relaxed and happy! I'm reading Bitter End by Jennifer Brown at the moment, but I've been looking for some good summer reads. Do any of you have any suggestions?

Anyway, this is how I looked on Friday when I went shopping with my best friend, Cassandra! She's leaving at the end of August to go to university in Ottawa, and I'm going to miss her so much! I'm closer to her then I've been to any other friend, and it's going to be very strange and sad not being able to go shopping or watch movies with her anymore.

I love the print of this blouse! It's so gorgeous, and it reminds me of gypsies. So I paired it with some brass bangles and layered necklaces!

The More You Reason

One of my favourite things to do with my friends is to sit on a comfy couch with a bowl of popcorn and watch movies. And I did just that on Tuesday with my friend, Lehla. We had planned a musical movie marathon, and that was the first day. We watched Hairspray, Funny Face, and Rent, and we sang along to every word that we knew.

And today, I'll be doing my second favourite thing: shopping! One of the stores in my town's mall is closing, so they have massive sales.

The Thing That Is Really Hard

I am terribly sorry about not blogging for a week. I feel like I have some explaining to do..

When I started this blog, I did it for myself so I would have a place to let out my creativity and such. And it was a lot of fun at first. But it seemed like as summer started, this blog became something that I "had" to do, instead of just something that I wanted to do. And when I feel like I have to do somehting, I don't want to do it. So I took a little break.

And today I felt like I wanted to do it again, so here it is! This is what I'm wearing today to bake some red velvet cupcakes with my best friend!

Cute Is When A Person's Personality Shines Through Their Looks

This is how I looked on Thursday, when I went shopping with two good friends. The shirt and shorts are new additions to my wardrobe, and I am already invisioning many outfits involving each piece! I love them both so much; they're both so cute!! I bought them on Wednesday when I went to the city, along with another shirt you will no doubt see very soon, bracelets, and nailpolish. But I digress.

Today there is a big barbque in my town as a fundraiser, so I'll be going to that with my family! I'll show you what I'll be wearing tomorrow!
