There's Plenty of Time To Sleep When We Die

We finally had some nice weather today! It was a beautiful 24 degrees here, and I loved it! I'm so excited for summer to be here, because I find it so much easier to dress for warm weather. What about you?

I just got home from my school, where we had a barbeque for our graduationg class. It's so shocking that in exactly 28 days, I will be graduating. I still can't believe it. Are any of you graduating from high school too?

Isn't this nailpolish the coolest? I bought it at Sephora while I was in New York, and it's magnetic! You hold a magnet over the wet polish, and it makes this cool design!

A New York Moment

This was one of the outfits that I wore while I was in New York City. I also wore it to school today, because I love this shirt and skirt together!
On the day that I wore this in New York, we were going to the 9/11 Memorial, and I was standing over a subway vent, and I thought of the iconic scene in The Seven Year Itch, where Marilyn Monroe was standing over one, and her dress flew up. I thought, wouldn't it be cool if that happened right now? And it did! I always wear shorts under my skirts, so it wasn't completely embarassing. And it was very cool. For me, anyway.

I took this photo in New York, when I was in a dressing room in Urban Behaviour. I loved the doors!

Today is A Winding Road

I've been so busy this weekend, I haven't had time to take new photos, so this is an outfit that I wore last weekend when I went to Halifax with my family.
I was back in Halifax on Friday for my sister's graduation, and we did some shopping on Saturday. Then I got together with my friends to have one of our regular games nights, and it was so much fun! I got home a little late though, so naturally, I'm kind of tired. But I have another busy day today, and I have to go to work tonight. I hope you had a great weekend, too!

Forever Summer

The weather these past few days has been like weather straight out of summer! It's making me so excited to spend the long, hot days reading in my hammock!!

Last week while I was in New York City, my best friend got really sick, and she had to go to the hospital for emergeny surgery. She just got back to Canada yesturday, and I'm going to visit her tonight! I'm sooo excited to see her, and give her the Naked 2 palette that I bought for her :]

I wore this to school today, and both the shirt and the dress were bought in New York City!!
Tomorrow I'm going to the city to attend my sister's graduation, so I won't be posting again until Sunday.

Before the Flowers Bloomed

I found these pictures on my computer from a while ago, so I figured I would post them! I'm not sure how old they are, but there were taken before the flowers behind me started blooming.
I came home early from school today, and after a little nap, I spent the afternoon outside reading Mockingjay in my hammock under the sun! Don't you just love afternoons like that? It reminds me of summer.

A Simple Contrast

There is not a color combination out there that I love more then white and black. I find contrasting colors so appealing, and those two, when out together, are striking. I love it. And I think that red goes perfectly with that duo, to make an amaxing trio! And it's been a very long time since I've worn these three colors together, so I decided to wear them today!

The Key to Style Is ... ?

In my opinion, the key to style is bravery. I think that you need to be brave to wear what you want to wear, and not care about what others will think about it. A point that has been talked about to death, I know. But I really think it's important to ignore all of the negative things that people say about what you're wearing. Wear what you want, people! And wear it how you want to wear it!!!
Do you have a different idea of what the key to style is? I'd love to know what you think!!!

Tomorrow I'm leaving on my trip with the school band to New York City! We're taking a bus there, so that means about a 20 hour drive.. not excited about that part.
This means that I will probably not be posting while I'm there. But please come back and visit my blog next week, because I'll have plenty of fabulous New York pictures and outfits to share!

Today has not been a very productive day at all. I've been all over my house, freaking out because on Tuesday after school, I am going to NEW YORK CITY!!! I am so excited, but I'm also nervous, because I have no idea what pack! And I'm too excited to think about it. So I haven't done anything all day. But here are some pieces that I picked up yesturday in the city.

Isn't this print adorable?!

Flowers and Velvet

I got this shirt for Christmas, and I can't believe I've only worn it three times! I absolutely love the rose-like detailing.
I wore this to school yesturday, and came home early to take these photos in the sun! I love how it's finally starting to feel like spring. The days are getting warmer, the flowers are starting to bloom, and there are almost leaves on the trees!

Today I went to the city with my family to do some shopping, and go out for a nice early mother's day dinner! I bought a new skirt, shirt, and some pieces of jewelry that I'll share tomorrow! I hope you have a great weekend!
